Dr. Jennifer Smolos has served as Dean of the School of Visual & Performing Arts/Artistic Director of the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons since 2019. Before relocating to Los Angeles, she was a member of the Core Faculty at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and an Adjunct Professor of Voice at NYU Steinhardt, working with students from Tisch, Steinhardt and the Gallatin School. For the past two decades, she has also continued to maintain a thriving and successful private voice studio.

Voted one of Backstage Magazine's Best Vocal Coaches in NYC in 2009, Jenn has helped numerous students, of all levels of experience, to access and develop their own unique instrument with freedom for ultimate expressivity and communication in a multitude of musical styles. Her students are studying at the world's top conservatories and appearing on numerous tours and regional stages. As a vocal coach and musical director, she has worked on numerous theatrical productions including Carousel at Yale University, Vinegar Tom and Cloud Nine at The Academy, and the annual American Academy of Dramatic Arts Company Showcase. As a performer, Jenn has appeared in numerous regional theater productions, tours, and Off-Broadway projects.
